CEO Al Miller founded Duo-Gard Industries in 1984, manufacturing energy-efficient window renovation systems using translucent polycarbonate technology. Today Duo-Gard integrates cutting-edge polycarbonate technology from around the world with in-house design/build expertise to create skylights, windows, walls and canopies. As president, son David Miller helps bring the benefits of diffused daylighting to new construction and renovation of all types of facilities in our advancing green building environment.

In 1990 Al Miller again became an industry innovator by recognizing the unique needs of the smoke-free workplace. He designed and manufactured the world’s first prefabricated, fully enclosed structure engineered as a long-term, year-round solution. Guided by the expertise of son-in-law Michael Arvidson, Duo-Gard’s vice president, we provide solutions that help clients create effective smoke-free environments that accommodate both smokers and non-smokers.
