Duo-Gard’s Custom Bike Shelters: An Optimal Campus Amenity
Our custom bike shelters were inspired by Duo-Gard’s Razor Model and designed specifically for the University of Wisconsin Platteville. Duo-Gard worked closely with the architect for two years to accomplish his vision. We designed and fully engineered the shelters to accommodate climate conditions while still achieving the desired aesthetic. The larger shelter is 20’ x 87’ and the smaller is 20’x 35’. These shelters feature a batten polycarbonate roof, optimized bike parking, and stainless-steel baseplates. Our AISC certified team fabricated the steel structure with Tnemec finish. The finishing touch to these shelters are the conveniently located bike repair stations also provided by Duo-Gard. We take pride in providing the bicycling community with optimal amenities and bike parking convenience.
